ERIK RAVELO

Erik Ravelo, a distinguished Creative Director and multimedia artist, formerly led the Visual Communication department at FABRICA, the renowned communication research center of the Benetton group in Treviso, Italy. Renowned for his groundbreaking campaigns, including the provocative "Unhate" series depicting world leaders in controversial embraces, Ravelo earned the prestigious Grand Prix of Cannes in 2012. His accolades span internationally, encompassing esteemed honors such as the Epica, Clio Awards, D&AD, One Show, and recognition from The Art Directors Club in both New York and Italy.

As the mastermind behind numerous impactful advertising campaigns, Ravelo's portfolio boasts collaborations with esteemed clients such as the United Nations, World Health Organization, Reporters Without Borders, UN Women, Amnesty International, The Guardian, United Colors of Benetton, and more. His work has garnered widespread acclaim, featured in prominent publications and showcased in major exhibitions worldwide, including notable events like Les Yeux Ouverts (2006) in collaboration with the Center Pompidou and esteemed platforms like the Art Biennial in Venice (2011) and Miart (2013).

Born in Havana, Cuba, in 1978, Ravelo's artistic journey began at the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts. Fueled by a passion for creative expression, he embarked on a quest for artistic freedom, ultimately settling between the United States and Italy, where he continues to shape the landscape of contemporary art and communication.
